The Dark King

Chapter 581

"Executioner?" Dean was stunned," You mean the executioner ranked second on the list of legendary monsters!"

"You’ve heard of the list of legendary monsters too?" Eureka was surprised and then smiled, "yes, it is the executioner we are talking about. We found it in the wasteland. Our people are searching it right now. If we could find its whereabouts, we dragon clan will hopefully have a super strong man who will claim the executioner’s magic mark!"

Inspired by his talking, Dean suddenly thought of something. According to Haisha, he learned that there was a big difference among the top three legendary monsters. Dream Conceiver, the No. One legendary monster, was super strong enough to fight against the rest seven legendary monsters combined!

Although the Executioner was not as powerful as the Dream Conceiver, it could defeat all monsters other than the top 3 monsters.

Apparently the Executioner was a legendary monster that no ordinary Pioneer could match. Pioneers were just its prey!

This also means, once they found it, it had to be Haisha who could be powerful enough to catch it!

Thinking of this, he got worried because Haisha was getting recovered from serious injury. Although she had restored most of her strength, it would still be extremely dangerous to fight against the Executioner!

"Her highness will go and search it herself. She is going to the place where the Executioner left his trail. There is a great chance that she will meet the Executioner. So it will not be convenient to take you with her." Eureka thought Dean was worried about his own safety. He patted him on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry. She will send you to the furthest place from where the Executioner appeared."

"But she sent me to protect you from any danger."

Dean clenched his fists slightly in his sleeve, then said, "I get it. I'll go back and change the armor."

"Go on."

Dean turned back and went back into the building, changed the armor of dragon guards that Eureka prepared for him, filled his backpack with food, and armed himself with bows and arrows, quivers, and daggers and knives.

"Maybe this is also an opportunity to leave." Dean thought it to himself. When he was thinking of Haisha’s lonely back, he felt a twinge of heartache. If only he could help her at this moment.

However, there is no "hero save beauties" story.

And he was no hero.

Leaving here was even a better way to help her.

Though depressed, he knew the right thing to do. Dean took a

"Let’s go."

"Ok."

They left Eureka’s mansion for the grand castle where Haisha lived.

A moment later, they came to the grand castle.

Haisha was standing beside a column, looking out over the rows of buildings in the fort. When she heard the wind and turned her head, she saw Dean and Eureka in full armor. There was softness in her expressionless eyes but it went away instantly. "There you are. What did Eureka tell you?" she asked.

Looking at her, he wished he could stand beside her and protect her. But he didn’t but said, "He told me everything."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. You'll stay with Eureka. He'll protect you. The fort would be very dangerous since I am gone. I will find you after I take care of everything." Haisha sensed a complicated expression in Dean’s eyes.

The sun was sinking, and the light fell on her cheeks from the side of the column. Her hair was fluttering across her cheeks in the breeze. She tucked her hair behind her ear, said softly.

Dean stared at her. The warm suns.h.i.+ne was like flame in his eyes. He suddenly felt that the girl was close to him but too far away to touch.

He was too weak.

"I see." He hung his head down. As the sun was s.h.i.+ning on his hair, half of his face was covered by shadow, "Be careful not only for monsters but also people on your side."

Haisha said with a soft smile, "I will."

At that moment there were footsteps rus.h.i.+ng in the grand castle.

Give Dean a hard look, Haisha said to Eureka, "You should go now."

"Yes." Eureka said, bowing his head.

Without saying another word, he turned and walked away.

Dean looked at Haisha, suddenly feeling that this might to be the last chance to see her. She was standing there quietly and gracefully, looking at him gently like there were countless stars in her eyes.

He turned away with face covered by shadow, and walked away slowly behind Eureka.

It went absolute silent.

As he pa.s.sed the steps, the footsteps came close and pa.s.sed him. It was a dragon guard who sent messages.

Dean and Eureka kept walking down the steps and down the street, farther and farther away from the silent grand castle.

East Gate of Fortress

Eureka and Dean flew straight and fast along the street like two black lines. When they arrived at the front of the high wall of the eastern gate of the fortress, two men and a woman, all dressed in dragon-guard armor, were waiting bored.

When they sensed someone coming, they looked hard and recognized it was Eureka. They were surprised and stunned.

"General Eureka!" They saluted at once.

Eureka and Dean stopped in front of them. Eureka glanced at them and nodded, "We are going to District Two and I am the leader. Do you have everything you need?"

"Yes, General!" Said the gray-haired young man, who had extremely handsome face but a bone spur protruding from the back of his neck.

Eureka nodded slightly and introduced, "He is our new teammate, Dean. Let's go."

When they looked at Dean and his distinctively young face, they were shocked. As they were about to greet to him, they nodded to Dean because of what Eureka said. Then they walked to the Gate behind Eureka.

Eureka walked in the front when they were out of the east gate.

"The Executioner was found in the District Seven, which is farther away from District Two we are heading." Eureka said in a cold voice, "but don't loosen your tension. Even if it were not the Executioner, it could be other monsters out there. Do you understand?"
