Love Amidst The Chaos

Chapter 5

I woke up the next morning to a jolly start. I brushed my teeth, brushed my hair; then I looked for another one of the dresses my aunt gave me. It was a bit too short but it still fits even though I got it 2 years ago. I was pretty certain that Nyx was going to love it. It was short enough to reveal my half of my thighs but not too short to reveal anything else. The material clung to my body and once in my life I was overjoyed I haven't added much weight. I went out to see everyone enjoying their breakfast. Everyone except the person I was actually looking for.

"Where's Nyx?"

"I don't know, maybe he is still sleeping. I'll go wake him up," grandma replied.

"No it's fine. I'll do it." I went to the living room and knocked the door. I waited for a few seconds before I knocked again harder this time. Still no response. I opened the door and found the room empty. I left the room puzzled.

"He is not in the living room."

"Where could he have gone then?"

"Maybe he decided he dislikes Yna after all," Luisa blurted out.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Ignore her, Yna and eat your food. Don't worry, he is probably in the toilet or went out for a walk."

"I am not worried." I am not, I told myself. I mean there is no way he could suddenly just stop liking me. Right?

Did I scare him yesterday? Was it all too overwhelming? Did he realise that he could not deal with my powers after all.

No, of course not. That's impossible. I'm probably just over thinking it.

"Let's just hope he realised he isn't welcomed here and left."

"Eduardo please stop."

I need to stop over thinking this. He has not left. He will come back. Because he likes me. Well there's a chance he might like me. I mean I think he likes me. He doesn't seem the type to play around.

Nyx didn't show up even though it was almost noon. Me and grandma were getting more worried. No one else really cared. I couldn't focus on my lessons with Amor and all my train of thoughts kept leading back to Nyx.

"Amor, can I quickly go

"Sure..." I didn't even let her finish, I took off and left the room. I went straight to grandma who was still in the living room.

"He is still not back yet?"

"No not..."

"Well h.e.l.lo, nice to see you again, well for me."

Oh my G.o.d.

"What are you doing here? How? Eduardo, come quick and bring the others?" grandma screamed.

"Oh my G.o.d what is he doing here? How did you get in?" Uncle Eduardo questioned.

"Questions, questions; is that really how you welcome guests?"

"Nyx. He did this. I knew we shouldn't have let him in."

"It's not him, he wouldn't..." I tried to justify but wasn't convincing anyone not even me.

"Love really is powerful. I mean all I needed was a boy your age, aka my son who is good at acting and happens to hage a beautiful brain like mine to accomplish what I have been trying to do for years."

I can't believe it. Uncle Eduardo was right.

"I knew that son of a b.i.t.c.h could not be trusted. Yna, Ma, what did I tell you? I knew we shouldn't have brought him in."

"I can't believe it. I never trusted Nyx but even I didn't expect this. I really thought he had a ma.s.sive crush the princess."

No. No, this can't be true. Nyx would never do this, right?

Amor was right, he loved me. Well liked me.

"Of course he doesn't. He hates the b.i.t.c.h just as much as I do." He snorted. And for moment I lost control, my blood boiled. I was a volcano about to erupted and before I could control it, he went flying. He brought out his lint gun and Uncle Eduardo brought out his.

"Do you really think you can stop. I have got your whole house surrounded. No matter what you do you will die but not before you watch everyone you love die." He sn.i.g.g.e.red and that was exactly the trigger I needed. Heavy wind swirled around the room. The roof was ripped off, the walls cracked and cracked before collapsing. Everything else went flying. My hair danced wildly.

Gunshots. Shouting. The entire room was filled with chaos. The moon engulfed the sun and left us in a state of darkness.

Gunshots. Screams.

"Luisa" My uncle jumped and gladly received the gunshot that was supposed to be the end of cousin.

"No! Eduardo! No!"

I lost every inch of control I had left. I reached for the murderer. He choked and choked before finally he was quiet. I reached for another, then another. Blood spplaterred everywhere. A gunshot flew towards me only for it to be sent back to the shooter. I took the nearest person and squeezed every ounce of blood out of him. His organs popped.

"Yna!" I heard Luisa screamed.

"Don't touch her. Leave her alone. If you kill her I swear to G.o.d your brain will be the next thing I will pop," I warned. He didn't listen he took his lint gun and aimed.

"If you want her you better stop and let my men take you."

"Fine, I will please just..."

"Yna, no, don't fall for his tricks," Luisa cried. Everything stopped.

"Yna, don't, you can't let him win, " grandma advised.

"Why? I was horrible to you? I blamed you for everything? Why are you doing this?"

"Because no matter how much of a b.i.t.c.h you become, you will always be my cousin and that will never change."

"Yna, I am sorry. I am sorry for being jealous of you and Nyx. I am sorry for being mean to you. Please don't, I've lost Ara and now dad. Not you too, " Luisa wailed.

"Oh will someone just tie the b.i.t.c.h up?" Two men grabbed me, threw me to the ground and tied me up with heavy chains filled with electric charge. I was someone who had powers but couldn't prevent herself from being captured.

"Yna, no!" grandma, Luisa and aunt Laila chorused.

"Now let her go," I muttered but he didn't. He pulled the trigger and shot her right there.

"We had a deal. You said..."

"I say a lot of things and oh please, did you really believe I would let her go... Well I guess you did, I mean you believed my son loved you. Men put her in the car." I was grabbed and thrown into the boot. And I did the only thing I could do. Cry.
