Incapable Dreams

Chapter 9

I knew who it was and I was scared.

I s.h.i.+vered under the bed. I started crying silently.

"Go away...." I whispered. "Please."

The knocks continued for another minute until it was silent.

I didn't know it was safe to come out so I counted to a hundred.

When there was no sound, I came out from under the bed, cautiously.

I noticed movement outside my window.

When I turned towards it, I saw a pigeon flapping it's wings.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

I looked at the window again.

And screamed.

There was my crazy father trying to barge into my dorm!

I froze for a second then ran.

I ran into the hallway.

"Help! Someone please help me!" I shouted as I ran.

Then I noticed Emily standing there.

"E-Emily!" I screamed.

"I-I know!" She shouted.

"We have to get out of here!" She continued urgently.

She put her arms around me and I felt a wave of dizziness. I knew we were in Zemenine.

"Come on, follow me we don't have much time!" Emily urged.

I walked with her into the cold atmosphere.

"Let's go to the palace everyone is there, hurry.'' She said.

We entered into the warm palace a few minutes later.

"Thank goodness your okay!" The Emperor exclaimed when he saw me.

"My father is here how are we going to-" I flattered.

"We- We have no option but to go to the Zemenine mountain." The Empress suggested.

"B-but..." Emily stated.

"I'm sorry but that's our only option!" The Empress interrupted.

"The Zemenime mountain?" I asked.

"Yes,its the most dangerous place to be in, heck, impossible!" The Empress said.

"But, it is the safest place to stay from your father. He wouldn't dare go there." She continued.

I bit my lip.

Of course I wanted to be away from my "Dad" the guy who never cared for me.

But...

"Are you sure we'll be safe?" I confirmed.

"Yes I'm positive." The Empress stated.

"Okay, then let's get going we don't have much time." I said.
