Abhimanyu was ready, as he saw the opponent, he recognized him, it was his old friend, his name was Nikhil, when Abhimanyu was with him before high school, Abhimanyu used to teach him a lot of his tricks, as Nikhil saw him he smiled to him, but Abhimanyu can't let involve his friends.h.i.+p in this tournament. He returned his smile and waved his hand.
The match began and the opponent player was trying to distract Abhimanyu, but Abhimanyu knows all that tricks, which he is trying to show him. This time Abhimanyu tricked him, and made a shot which Nikhil missed it terribly. The MST college's cheering was echoing in the court. The score was 4-5 and Abhimanyu was leading the score, and he was keeping the balance so smoothly, but in the next shot, Nikhil made a shot in which Abhimanyu hit the shot but his leg got twisted and he fell down. He couldn't get up at that time, his leg got sprain and he couldn't even walk properly, it was the final round and the MST college can't afford to lose. Abhimanyu missed the last shot and now the score was 5 equal.
As Abhimanyu can't play now then, the coach has no other options, he send Ayan to replace Abhimanyu. Everyone wished Ayan all the best, now only Ayan can win this match and because of him, the college can win. Ayan's gaze fell on Jhummi but she didn't wish him, she ignored him.
Sadness spread on Ayan's face as he went into the court. Ayan's focus was distracted and he missed his first shot. Everyone could see disappointment on
Ayan was playing so smoothly, he was blocking every shot of Nikhil. Nikhil already lost three more shots from Ayan. Everyone was praising Ayan for his brilliant performance, but they were shocked to see him like this, from past few weeks Ayan was behaving different, he was not even giving proper focus on the coach and his direction. And now he was playing like a real champ.
Nikhil tried to trick Ayan but it was not his cup of tea, he tried hard to manipulate the situation but he couldn't. Ayan thought now that it's time to get more attention and he continuously made three quick shot, one shot Nikhil blocked but the last shot was out of his control, he couldn't block the last shot and Ayan won the match.
Yes Ayan won the match, he felt so happy and so blessed. The coach felt really proud of him, Abhimanyu gave him a hug and wished him congratulations. The coach came to him and said to him with patted his back, "I am really proud of you Ayan, you really did a great job, I never thought that you'll win this, you were so distracted from a past time, but you proved me wrong".
Shrishti also came to Ayan and give him a hug, she congratulated him and told him "woohoo buddy, you played awesome, I won't mind if you'll give me some tips or if you'll train me for further tournaments", said Shrishti and gave him a high five. Ayan doesn't like Shrishti that much, but he knows that she is a good friend of Jhummi and doesn't want to spoil his image. When Ayan saw that Jhummi was ignoring him and trying to making distance from him, he went directly to her and put his hand on her shoulder, as she turned her head and saw him, he hugged her in front of everyone.
Jhummi was so shocked to sudden action of Ayan, she was not expecting this from him, she doesn't know that Ayan will hug her in front of everyone, she don't know how to react on this, so she was standing there like a statue, and just staring him.
Thank G.o.d Neel was not here, otherwise she won't know that how he would react on this, he would definitely ask her hundred of questions, but right now she was thinking what should she say to him.
"What are you doing Ayan?? Everyone is watching us, you can't behave like this in front of everyone, said Jhummi in a furious tone.
Oh, so you mean that I can hug you when no one around, whispered Ayan in her ear in teasing tone.
"You can't touch me Ayan, it doesn't matter if someone is watching us or not, I am no one for you, then why you are behaving like a typical boyfriend, sometimes you are ignoring me, and the other time you are wis.h.i.+ng and hugging me, like nothing happened", said Jhummi in an angry tone, what the h.e.l.l do you want??
"I want you, he said all sudden.
Jhummi didn't react at that time, she left the place towards the locker room, and as Ayan got the chance he followed her, she was running like someone put the earth on fire, her heart was beating fast, and she was breathing heavily, she felt someone was following her and somehow she knows who he was, but she didn't stop running.
Her heart was pounding like a drum, she couldn't breathe properly, somehow she knows he'll chase her, as she stopped in the locker room, there was no one accept her, she took a deep breath, tried to relax herself, as he heard a footstep, her heart again started beating fast, she knew was him.
