Trapped In Time

Chapter 44

The 100 Orbs had surrounded Mono and the group of the trekkers. They were emitting white light. Mono seemed to carry a map of all the Towns as he was again carried a map with him, apparently of Town J. They all followed the path indicated by the map and walked through the tunnel for about 10 minutes. The tunnel here was as well-lit as the light from outside was filtering through the shafts and vents as was in the tunnel in Town M and I. There was a fragrance of herbs and fresh flowers coming through.

They walked for about 10 minutes and came to a similar inner cave that had about 5 scientists sitting in front of machines as statues in various stages of doing work. Another scientist was standing like a statue near the huge pulsating brain probably he had been measuring the pulsations as he had a notebook in which he had been jotting something. The huge pulsating brain was hanging at the other end of the wall of the cave. On the wall was written, 'Time Machine Experiment, Town J'.

They could see the same type of two telephone booths like structures as one would see in the T.V. serial called 'Dr. Who'. These telephone booths like structures had gla.s.s covers too and were connected with wires to the computers and the computers, in turn, were connected with wires to the huge pulsating brain.

The group of trekkers again had that déjà vu feeling. This was because the entire cave seemed to be a replica of that at Town M and Town I.

Though, everyone

Danny had explained and demonstrated to Mono what had happened at Town M. So, Mono handled the wire and the red b.u.t.ton issue at Town I Here also at Town J, the Time Machine was an exact replica of that at Town M and Town J. Mono, surrounded by a few Orbs, pulled the wire with his left foot and pressed the red b.u.t.ton with his right hand.

As in the last two Time Machine experiments, a lot of sparks were seen coming out of the machines and the huge brain. The noise was also being emitted and the huge brain shriveled up to the size of a tennis ball. Here also all the machines stopped functioning and a white cloud engulfed them. Soon the cloud subsided but the machines were destroyed beyond repairs. The two telephone booths like containers were destroyed too and shattered gla.s.s could be seen inside. These were now impossible to be used. The computer terminals which were wired to the brain had also burnt up.

"Some of the Orbs went over the shriveled up brain. A cracking sound was heard from the shriveled brain and here also 25 blobs of white light came out. About 10 Orbs 5 from Town M and 5 Town I moved to the shriveled brain to receive them. These 10 Orbs communicated with the Orbs that had come out from the shriveled brain for about 10 minutes and these 25 Orbs joined the 100 Orbs. Now there were a total of 125 Orbs in total now comprising 75 from Town M, 25 from Town I and the most recent 25 from Town J.

These 125 Orbs were dancing around as if they were happy to meet the old friends and relatives who had been trapped in the huge brain here. There was a strange humming type of sound emitting from the excited Orbs which were jumping about.

This time Mono did not have to tell the Orbs to ensure everything was destroyed including the dead brain contained the first brain around which the Time machine experiment had been built.

The Orbs moved around with lightning speed throughout the entire cave raising electric current and sparks of electricity to hit at all the computer terminals. Soon the computer terminals were burnt beyond recognition. The shriveled brain was also injected with a dose of electric current by a few of these Orbs in a combined exercise. As a result, the shriveled brain was burnt up beyond recognition.

Mono again remembered that they had not destroyed the Time Machine at Town M. But never mind, they would be pa.s.sing that cave when they finish all their tasks. Then they would destroy. Actually, the Orbs would love to destroy as the experiment was nothing but torture for them even after death; their loved ones were always agitated about this fact.

They would need to take care of this matter when they went back. It would be the first thing they needed to do before embarking on the mission to free the freedom fighters who had been jailed in Town M as well as the scientists who had revolted against the making of the Time Machines.

They should do this as soon as they landed in the tunnel at Town M. They would have many Orbs to do this and all of them would feel immense pleasure in destroying all that torturous stuff. No one should start to make such a horrendous thing again.

Mono asked Juan, his grandfather, and Echo, his father to ascertain from the 25 Orbs of Town I to ensure that no blueprint or designs of the Time Machine remained there.

The two Orbs asked those 25 Orbs telepathically and they got a response that all the terminals were destroyed. Some old computers were kept in the storeroom. They would light up a controlled electric shoot there too. The group saw the Orbs leaving for a similar area where there was a similar door of a storeroom. Soon there was a lot of hissing noises as the Orbs aimed electric current at all the dumped terminals in the storeroom. Soon everything was destroyed actually charred beyond recognition. Now everything about the Time Machine experiment was completely destroyed at Town I and J.

The 25 Orbs came back after their work was completed.

"Okay everyone," Mono called everyone. "All the 125 Orbs too, we need to proceed to the Jail area."

"The Orbs from Town J lead the way and the rest keep us covered."
