Chapter 438: Virusia
Chapter 438: Virusia
"Huh…?" Two gasps of bewilderment were heard inside the cockpit while Virus looked at them in mirth.
Then, after the short silence passed, the golden beauty asked for further clarification. "What do you mean, master? Was this planet always called Virusia?"
"Hmm? Of course not! I just named it Virusia." Going quiet momentarily, Virus picked the rest of his explanation. "This place is going to become our new headquarters henceforth."
Shocked silly by now, the golden beauty and the Security ugly’s jaws had already hit the floor since they didn’t know what to make of this situation.
"Could you elaborate further, master?" At last, the golden beauty inquired again.
"Um, sure, what I’m trying to say is, we’re going to focus our development and growth on this planet from this day on." Pointing upwardly with his finger, Virus announced. "1.49 million years… I’m going to try to bring that future to us… or rather, my goal is to run to it at a faster speed than before."
"But in order to make that dream a reality, we need a strong footing first. And this planet might just become that!" Although Virus’ eventual aim was to try to advance to the same level as the Earth of his future world, he was aware it was easier said than done. He knew there were lots of obstacles and hindrances awaiting to block his path to that end.
In fact, in technology, every advancement required its own deep layer after layer foundation as he couldn’t simply leap 1.49 million years in time and make the most futuristic pieces of technology just because he wished for it. Progress in technology was a step-by-step process, much like cultivation itself.
He had to jump one level after another before finally breaking through to the next stage and continuing additional growth.
Furthermore, all of that required an extremely strong foundation, an unshakeable one, in case Virus desired to tread the path to a further destination. The weaker the foundation, the faster he was going to hit a barrier, a bottleneck, and remain stuck there for a long time.
Actually, that was what had happened on the current Earth which was mostly related to the issues that arose from the existence of mankind on the planet itself.
For one, Virus didn’t trust the human race since, at the end of the day, he knew without a shadow of a
Virus considered that an idiotic and irredeemable approach since it was like giving deadly weapons to your possible attackers. It was only a matter of time before it backfired.
All in all, right now, with every improvement he wanted to make on Earth, he had to be careful and consider various advantages and possible disadvantages in the present and the future.
Furthermore, mankind itself had created many laws that bound, prevented, and slowed down the path of growth!
If he wanted to manufacture something that went way ahead of anything available on the market, all the other relevant manufacturers were bound to attack him and try to bring him down which in return would force Virus to waste more of his time to kill off all those nuisances.
Phones, computers, cars, planes, buildings, ships, medicine, mines, etc. It didn’t matter what, as long as Virus stopped holding back and proceeded to produce extremely futuristic high technology, all of them were going to at least try to stand in his way one way or another.
If he wanted to mine a piece of land, he had to jump through hoops before being able to do it legally. Overall, everything was a hassle that decelerated the process and annoyed him every step of the road.
Moreover, in case he carried on with his advancement, he was bound to become too much powerful at some point and that was a big no to all governments around the globe. His eventual enemies were going to be the various governments around the world and that meant World War III!
For the Virus Industries alone to reach higher levels quickly, they needed to keep advancing on all grounds with no interruptions whatsoever since the various fields of technology were interconnected. Unfortunately, the mere existence of the human race didn’t permit that.
The only viable solution Virus had to solve that problem once and for all was to wipe out the entire population of humans, the complete extinction of the human race on the planet!
If truth be told he had even considered it seriously on various occasions. In fact, with an excuse like money, he had gone so far as to even release a Super HIV that has already infected the entire population of the planet, and even to this day, he only gave them the temporary cure instead of a permanent one.
Regrettably, the appearance of the Rifts added another problem on top of everything else as it ensured Earth was going to be an unstable card even more in the future.
Thus, putting the matter of Earth and all of its issues aside, for now, being in immediate need of advancement in terms of technology, Virus chose to pick a new field to grow his roots in, and that was Virusia!
"Ah!" Awestricken, the golden beauty’s eyes went wide open while her hand was already covering her mouth in surprise. "So this planet is going to become the new root!"
"Ah, but what about Earth? The Virus Industries? And our hidden headquarters on the atoll?" Somewhat nervous and uneasy at the thought of abandoning Earth which was like a home to her, the golden beauty queried.
"Good question! But you don’t need to be worried about it, nothing will change over there… the only difference would be that the atoll won’t be our headquarters anymore but rather a port and storage connecting Virusia to Earth and vice versa.
While they were engaged in their little discussion, the spaceship had already landed on the ground as thousands of Worker Robots ran out of the gigantic spaceship before beginning their new task of setting up something unique in the vicinity of a special river.
"Um, master, it’s amazing that you want to make Virusia our new headquarters and everything, but… as long as the Panumans are here, I don’t think that’ll be an easy job. What are you going to do about that?"
