Chapter 39
However, his words did not provide any comfort to Juin. An adult man whom he just met told him to take off his clothes? Come on!
Juin glanced at the door, hoping that he could see Lucifer's face, but no. The door was still closed, and for some reason, Lucifer's noise was now m.u.f.fled as well.
"No one can help you now, Juin," Warlock said as he stood up. "Either you remove the s.h.i.+rt yourself, or I'm going to take some drastic moves… You're no longer a child. Don't expect me to talk to you like one."
Upon hearing the threat in Warlock's words, Juin immediately stood up and ran to the door. But when he touched the doork.n.o.b again, the same thing happened; he got electrocuted again. He pulled his hand back slightly, but then, he was determined to escape from this pervert.
So he tried again, bracing through the pain. Unfortunately, he was unable to turn it at all no matter how hard he tried.
"Forget about it."
Juin suddenly found himself being lifted in midair. He struggled and finally yelled out, "Your Majesty!!! Help!!! PERVERT!!!"
"Pervert?" A vein bulged out on Warlock's smooth forehead.
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
When Juin heard the soft, consecutive popping sound, he looked down and saw that three of the six b.u.t.tons on his blue s.h.i.+rt were popped open. "Your Majesty, help! Lucifer! There's a pervert here!!!"
"I'm not -" Warlock suddenly realized something.
"YOUR MAJESTY LUCIFER!"
"Lucifer?" Warlock frowned when he heard the name again. He thought he heard wrongly earlier, but it looked like he did not. Glancing at the door, his green eye glowed slightly as he snapped his fingers, upon which Juin found his lips sealed tightly together.
...
"Hmmphlp! Luccc!!!" Juin tried to yell, but his words came out inaudible when he could not even open his lips.
Warlock's green eye glowed slightly as he stared at the door, this time, it had a hint of gold in it. The door s.h.i.+mmered slightly before turning translucent in his eyes. He then saw Lucifer, whom he had kept within a small invisible mirror-like cage because he was being too noisy. Lucifer was..h.i.tting the cage with all his strength, throwing flames everywhere, but his flames disappeared immediately after hitting the cage.
"Give it up. It's futile. Souls don't have the power to escape from my Soul Cage," Warlock mouthed silently. He watched as Lucifer suddenly stopped moving and looked around, as if trying to find the source of the voice. Once Warlock was sure that Lucifer had heard him, he turned away
With a sigh, he snapped his fingers, upon which Juin could speak again.
"You motherf*cking a*shole--" Juin yelled before he realized that he could hear himself. He then looked at Warlock, who had a thunderous expression on his face. "I-I…" Juin stuttered. He didn't expect to be heard since he thought he was being silenced!
Warlock growled slightly before pulling Juin's s.h.i.+rt apart, upon which Juin's chest was bared to him.
"L-look! I'm just a thin boy… I won't be able to--" Juin's words were left hanging when he found himself silenced again. Frustrated, he did not even fight this time.
Warlock looked at Juin's bare chest as he touched the ear stud with a red gem on his right earlobe. After removing the ear stud single-handedly, he placed it in his s.h.i.+rt pocket.
At this moment, from outside the room, Lucifer felt a stronger aura bearing upon it, and he could not help but stare at the door, wondering what was going on inside the room.
He lifted his right hand, palm up, and a golden-yellow diagram appeared on it. He then pointed his right palm at Juin's chest, fingers facing upward. He hovered it at an inch from Juin's chest, where his heart was, and after chanting something, he moved his hand from left to right.
The moment he retracted his right hand, a scar appeared in his vision; a scar that Juin and anyone else could not see.
"Link is not broken…" Warlock sighed in relief. He then moved Juin down slightly so that he could see Juin properly. He placed a hand on Juin's chin as he stared into Juin's eyes.
As if he was being placed in a trance, Juin's eyes suddenly showed no signs of resistance, and he merely stared back into Warlock's eyes quietly.
Warlock stared at Juin intently, even staring past his physical self and saw Juin's soul; the one that was currently being shackled in midair. "A shackle is broken…" Warlock's eyes went wide slightly in shock as he stared at the Juin. His fingers curled into fists subconsciously as he closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer looking at Juin's soul, but his physical body.
He snapped his fingers again, and this time Juin's s.h.i.+rt returned back to before, with the b.u.t.tons intact, as if nothing had ever happened before. He then turned around, upon which, Juin fell onto the floor.
"Ouch…" Juin groaned. He then looked around, slightly dazed, wondering what had happened earlier. When he looked up, Warlock was already seated at his seat with a slightly furious expression.
Juin wasn't sure what happened just now, but when he turned to get out of the place, he suddenly heard a rough voice demanding, "Sit!"
Juin wanted to move, but he knew that he could never escape from this room with his own power. So, with a dejected expression, he dragged himself to the seat. Once he was seated down, he was bombarded with a list of questions.
"When did you attract Lucifer's soul?
"Why Lucifer? And how long has it been?
"How far have you gone with him?"
Juin looked at Warlock curiously as he thought about his questions. For some reason, it felt as if Warlock was questioning his own daughter about her boyfriend. "Urgh…" Juin thought and quickly shook his head.
When he was thinking of denying, Warlock added, "Don't even try to deny it. I can tell if you're lying…"
He saw Juin looking at him and added, "As you can tell by now, I'm not a normal human either."
Juin sighed and nodded. He told Warlock about his encounter with the sword and the book at the museum, and how when he woke up, Lucifer was already there.
"Of course it would be easy for you to attract his soul…" Warlock mumbled as he pinched his glabella. However, he was curious as to why Lucifer's soul would be out of his physical body. It was uncommon for a demon of Lucifer's level to transmigrate without a physical body.
Warlock then asked again, "How far?"
"Erm…" Juin thought for a while before replying, "We have signed a contract… Ka… za?"
"F*ck!" Warlock snapped and groaned loudly. He then stood up and threw a book at Juin. "Three years ago, before I left, I told you to stay out of trouble and to keep your head low! Why didn't you listen to me? And didn't your guardian teach you anything? Why did you touch things that don't belong to you?"
Juin winced as Warlock continued to scold him. He thought, "I don't remember you saying those things…"
