Chapter 90 Kato The Ninja
'Cafe Spring' was the name of this cafe.
"The name of the cafe is really perfect for me," Sakura said while looking at the name board of the cafe.
"Spring (Haru) goes hand in hand with Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), right?" Haru answered.
"Ah, I want to be the one who says that!" Sakura complained.
"Let's enter, I will treat you to a drink or something inside," Haru said.
"Good," Sakura smiled.
Clink!
Both of them entered the cafe at the same time.
Haru ordered an ice lemon tea while looking around. He whispered and said, "We should go to my cafe later." He thought his cafe was better in his opinion.
Sakura was a bit surprised, "You're going to make a cafe?"
Haru nodded, "Yes, it will be opened in two weeks."
"Good, I'll come to your cafe," Sakura said and felt a bit excited.
They talked for a while until she said something to him.
Haru wasn't sure but this girl always had a lot of useless knowledge on her head.
"Do you know why cheery blossoms bloom in spring?" Sakura asked.
"Why?" Haru asked.
"Once the blossoms have fallen in April, it just takes three months for them to sprout buds again," Sakura continued, "They wait almost a year for it to become warm and then bloom at once, Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) is waiting for the right time to bloom." She looked at him and smiled, "Isn't that wonderful?"
Haru was wondering whether this girl was trying to flirt with him or something. He looked at her with a smile and asked, "What is it? Are you falling for me?"
"Ah, I'm not trying to confess to you, alright, this is just a Sakura in general, I don't like a pervert like you," Sakura said.
Haru twitched his lips and said, "You don't need to repeat that." He sighed and drank his lemon tea.
Sakura nodded with a smile and suddenly said, "That's right, I need to tell Kyouko about your cafe."
Haru raised his eyebrow, "Do you want to come with her?"
"It's fine isn't it?" Sakura asked.
Haru thought for a bit and nodded, "Sure, why not."
"Good, it's just a short while before I die, I want to do a lot of things before that," Sakura said.
Haru sipped his lemon tea again while thinking whether he should heal her right away or later. He shook his head and it was better to learn more about medical jutsu and healing magic to make sure that he could help her. He didn't want to
They talked to each other while joking about the thing that happened earlier. They talked for quite a long time and decided to go home after staying for hours here. They left the cafe together.
"You don't need me to send you home?" Haru asked.
Sakura shook her head, "My home is quite near, let's meet again sometimes. "
"You want to bring me out again?" Haru raised his eyebrow.
"Of course, let's have more fun later, goodbye, Haru," Sakura waved her hand and left him there.
"Bye," Haru waved his hand while looking at her back. He felt complicated towards this girl. He wasn't sure what he would do when he was told that he would die shortly. He looked at the starry night and decided to learn medical jutsu and light magic as soon as possible.
"Haru, is that your girlfriend?"
Haru, who heard this voice, was stunned. He turned his head and didn't expect to see her, "Kato, how come you're here?" He was wondering whether she was coming from an ancient ninja clan or something.
"I'm not sure but you must be thinking something rude about me," Kato said.
"Kato, tell me the truth, are you a ninja?" Haru asked.
Kato shook her head, "I'm not, I'm only a normal girl." She was calm even though he made fun of her.
'A normal girl couldn't hide her presence like you,' Haru thought inwardly while looking at her. He wasn't sure whether this girl had some unique skill inside of her.
"So is she your girlfriend?" Kato asked again.
Haru shook his head, "No." He thought for a while and asked, "Since when are you here?"
"I've been sitting behind you the entire time," Kato said.
Haru raised his eyebrow, "Kato, did you hear everything?" He had talked about a lot of things with Sakura before including her disease.
Sakura was quite open about her disease to him and didn't mind to tell him.
They thought it was safe since the cafe was quite deserted but he didn't expect there was someone who sat behind them quietly.
Kato didn't answer him immediately and decided to ask, "Is that true that she doesn't have long time to live?"
Haru didn't expect that she would hear everything. He looked at her and said, "Kato, can you pretend that you don't hear anything about today?" His expression was serious and he wouldn't take rejection as an answer.
Kato had never seen this kind of expression from him. She also knew that it was rude for her to eavesdrop on their conversation. She was quite curious since he saw him enter the cafe with a girl that she had never seen before. She thought their dating only heard turned into a misunderstanding and by coincidence knew their secret. She was curious but she didn't want to pry on their secret. She looked at him and nodded, "I will pretend that I didn't hear anything today."
Haru smiled at her, "I'm glad that you're the one who eavesdropping." He could imagine some of his acquaintances would press him to tell them about the truth and probably talk to Sakura regarding her disease.
However, the girl in front of him was different, she was similar to a saint.
Haru thought for a bit and said, "Can you promise me not to tell Sora about my meeting with her?"
Kato looked at him and nodded, "I promise you." She didn't think it was weird for him wanted to keep this a secret from his little sister. She was curious about the relationship between the two of them but she had promised him to pretend that she didn't know anything. Her feeling was a bit complicated right now, she felt both empathetic and uncomfortable right now.
Haru smiled, "Thank you, let's go back, I'll send you home."
Kato nodded in response since she wanted to talk with him more. She didn't expect that it would be very uncomfortable being ignored by him for a while when both of them entered the same cafe.
Haru looked at her again and observed this girl from up and down. He knew that ninjas were always trying to hide their identity, "Kato, are you really not a ninja?"
Kato looked at him calmly and said, "I'm not."
