Chapter 35
I woke up with my brother screaming at the top of his lungs for breakfast. My eyes were bulged after having a good night sleep...just thinking about Blake made b.u.t.terflies in my stomach.
Allllllllennnn.....allllennnnn he kept screaming until I heard dad shutting him up.
I woke up from my bed wearing my panda bear pajamas....they were so cute with a hoodie holding small ears. They were my favorite among the other animal pajamas I had.
I went down the stairs rubbings my eyes and literally puked when I saw my brother. He was wearing an ap.r.o.n, it was a red one with frills in the end....G.o.d how I wish I had a cell phone now, so I could tease him with these pics later...
' I see someone is trying to become a house husband' I said eyeing him up and down. My father was on the sofa reading his newspaper.
' can't help it when I have a lazy sister at home' he said while flipping the pancakes. No matter what, my brother always has a sarcasm ready in mind to throw at me in full blow. I just puffed my cheeks and sat down near the dining
In 10 mins the table was filled with honey dripping pancakes, my favorite.
I took a bite and what do I say it was heavenly. Our father joined us wearing his usual work clothes, a fully checked s.h.i.+rt, and black pants. I still had an hour to get ready for my work when Kavin handed me a letter.
' Allen, I found this in the mailbox addressed to you'.
'thanks' I said while having a mouthful of pancakes.
It was addressed to me from Kindergarten, so when I thought of opening it up, the fold came out instantly as if someone had opened it earlier. I looked at my brother who was eating his pancakes without any care in the world.
' Did you do this' I asked angry at going through my personal stuff, although he has stopped respecting any personal boundaries which were there between us.
He nodded ' well, I had to know if it was from a creepy stalker or not, although now I'm not worried about that, but I do pity you getting thrown out of that place' he said with a smirk. How I wanted to smash a pancake at his face.
'What did you mean by thrown out' I asked perplexed. 'Read the letter dear sister' he said and I opened it.
Dear Miss Allen.
We are sorry to inform you that due to unavoidable circ.u.mstances, we will be closing down the kindergarten for a week. You are free to do as you wish during this period. Sorry for the sudden request.
Thank you
And all I could think of was if something dangerous happened. I wanted to know how the kids were, more than that, there was an overwhelming urge to see Blake, to talk to him, to hear from his beautiful voice that everything was alright. I wanted to see him. And so regardless of this letter, I would still go.
