Chapter 14
There was a coffee shop opposite to where the Sweng corporation building was located and that was where Tony went with Miray. Miray still didn't say a word, she watched as Tony ordered her favorite coffee and led them to sit at the far corner of the coffee shop. When they sat down Tony finally let her hand go and he turned to the direction of the window for he could'nt manage to look at Miray in the eyes.
Five minutes of total silence went on between them. Miray had a lot of things to say to him but what was done could not be undone, "Why did you leave me?", she slowly said those words to him.
Tony was surprised by the question, he turned and looked in her direction. Miray had looked calm but Tony knew that she was concealing her emotions and seeing her that way made him feel some sort of regret. "I see you are still straightforward like before..." Tony bowed his head as he pretended to look at his phone.
"Look me in the eyes Tony!.." Miray's voice was filled with so much pain, "at least I deserve an explanation, don't you think?."
Tony scratched his head not knowing what he would say to her. He had imagined this moment a thousand times ever since he came back but he just couldn't think of the right words to say to Miray, for her to feel better.
"Tony, I gave you, your last chance of honesty. Not a lot of people get that chance and you lost it. One day you will regret this moment and wish you had taken that chance." Miray
"Skylar! don't trust him, please... Stay away from him.." Tony shouted to Miray when she was by the door. Miray stopped and gradually turned her face to him. There were so many words filled with bitterness she wanted to say to him but she resisted and left the coffee shop.
Tony watched Miray from the window. A Mercedes Benz came in front of the coffee shop and a man stepped down from the car opening the backseat door for Miray to enter the car. A few moments later the car disappeared. Tony became angry with himself for he had not managed to ask Miray why she came all the way to the branch. After leaving the coffee shop he went directly to Skylars office.
"Why was she here?" Tony couldn't hold his anger anymore.
"Now is not a good time," calmly replied Skylar who was standing by the window.
"Stay away from her! That's my first and last warning." Shouted Tony.
Skylar simply smiled and turned to Tony. He loved to see Tony angry, it gave him a lot of satisfaction. "And who are you to her for me to listen to you?"
Tony went silent for a while, he really had no right to warn Skylar about Miray, considering his situation. He didn't answer Skylar for he felt powerless. So he left the office.

Miray didn't go to her office but went to Joe's dojo. There was no one at the dojo that moment and Miray switched on the lights. Back then when Joe was training her, the dojo had been like her home for she even had her things there in a locker with her name on it. She had spent most of her time there practicing with the boys. Joe had given her hard training than the rest, which turned out to be very successful for she was able to beat 4 guys at once and most of the boys had feared her. Miray changed into her sportswear and used some bandages to wrap her hands. All the anger she felt inside, she wanted to let it all out on the punching bag. Miray kept on hitting the bag as she remembered how Tony had failed to look at her. Everything they had been through together, meant nothing to him. With the feeling of betrayal and anger inside of her she gave the punching bag a high kick and it went backwards. Miray forgot that the force exerted on a punching bag turns back and it had hit her back to the floor.
It must have been the pain she felt from being hit or maybe the emotions inside of her that made Miray to cry while she was still on the floor. Joe who was by the door had been watching her all along. After she started crying, he walked up to her and sat next to her. "You should have cried a long time ago." He whispered to her.
Miray was startled for she did not expect anyone to be there at that moment. She sat down and looked at Joe.
"Tell me the truth, why do you think he left?" Tears were coming out of her eyes as she felt the pain on her chest. Joe hugged her and her sobbing increased. Miray cried like a baby for the very first time in her adulthood life.
They stayed there for over thirty minutes as Miray tried to calm herself down from crying.
"How do you feel now?" Joe asked as he looked at Miray. He was never a gentle man but had always been sentimental towards Miray.
"I didn't know I had unresolved issues inside of me..... Never talk about this moment" She was still wiping her tears while trying to protect her pride.
"Come on, let's go to my place.. Little Daphne is home so we can have lunch with her." Joe stood up and stretched out his hand to Miray.
Miray's mood lightened up after she heard about little Daphne. She got up with Joe's help and went to change her clothes. Please go to to read the latest chapters for free
