Stopping
"Let's Begin!" Commanded the Horseman, and instantly all the seven Grimm poured their energy into the wooden armor, which instantly formed the woody protective layer around them, leaving out only the wooden stand and bronze lamp on it.
As the protective layer forms around them, they begin to move. Each step takes them hundreds of meters.
They began to travel miles by second as they did, the temperature around them began to increase at the visible rate. It had become so high that by the time they had crossed the fifty miles, they had to increase the amount of energy they were adding into the wooden armors that were covering them.
From then, at every mile they would cross, they would add more energy into their wooden armor.
The heat had reached an unbearable degree, but the Grimm Monsters continued pushing. They begin to pour more and more energy into their armors; all of them have a clear goal in mind, and they reach a certain distance away from the globe to accomplish it.
While they move, I am also moving; I have already reached the city, and now I am traveling down into the rift.
It is a huge risk but the one I am willing to take for the price. It is not just Grimms that have the goal, but I have one too. Which is to sabotage the Grimm Monsters' goal and, if there is a chance, kill them.
Now, I have a third goal, too, and that is to acquire that bronze lamp, but before I start on any of my goals, I would have to let the Grimms accomplish their goal, which I have quite a doubts about.
What they are trying to accomplish is extremely hard; even I can't tell whether they would be successful or not or just end up losing all their lives. This mission is not just hard but also extremely dangerous.
After crossing nearly a hundred miles, the Grimms slowed down considerably; the globe is now is around a hundred and fifty miles away from them, and a temperature it is emitting had made even the
They need to cross around fifty miles which would not be easy; to accomplish their goal, they need to be at least a hundred miles or closer to it, and reaching such close to it might be impossible without losing their lives.
The fire in the globe is powerful beyond belief; at such close from the Grimms eyes, I could see what it is doing; it is melting space around it.
It is the reason why tearing the space here is so dangerous, especially a ten thousand-mile radius around this fire globe.
I created a cave at the end of the rift, hidden from a general view.
Even soul sense would have a hard time finding it; seeing these stones are so hot they affect even soul sense would weaken unless it is focused. The place where Grimms are, even incorporate things like soul sense would burn to ashes.
The Grimm Monsters continued moving; now, their speed has become so slow that even a common person would be able to match it if he decided to run with all its strength. With the temperature increasing at their every step, their speed would slow down even further.
Ten minutes passed when their speed had reached the level of the common person, and they had also begun to eat the resources to replenish their energies quickly.
They are using an enormous amount of energy to sustain the wooden protection, and the one that is pouring the most is Horseman. Its energy is vast and far more powerful than I had expected. If it had found me, there is no way in hell I would survive even for a minute.
Six hours passed since they began walking at regular speed, and now it had become even difficult for Grimms to take another step.
Compared to their earlier speed, where they traveled miles by a minute, they are now taking a single step by a minute. Their giant bodies are feeling the strain like never before as they begin to pour all the energy into their bodies.
Another twelve hours passed by, and the sheer resources they were consuming were shocking; these bastards were not holding anything back at all.
I am also commanding my seed to absorb these resources; even the Grimm Monster could not absorb all the resources; some of it is left behind, and it is getting absorbed by the seeds. My seed earlier was incapable of doing it before, but after their upgrade, they have become a lot more powerful.
I have paid a huge price on upgrading these seeds; even Grand Lords would get surprised if they came to find out what I had spent on them. They have now become a lot more capable and now have a far greater potential than before.
Crack!
Nearly a day passed when suddenly, a crack had appeared on the wooden cover covering the Grimm Monster and all of them stopped in their tracks.
I could see the extreme fear the Antman is feeling right now; they are at a very dangerous place where the only thing that is keeping them from burning alive is the wooden cover; if it cracked, then they could forget about leaving here alive.
The only one who had a slight chance is Horseman, while others could forget about running away unless they have a very powerful defensive artifact.
"We will stop here," The Horseman said, and all the Grimms took a visible sigh of relief before they sat cross-legged on the ground.
"Ideally, it would have been better if we have reached a hundred miles or closer distance, but it is impossible for us," said Horseman with a regrettable sigh.
They are hundred and twenty to hundred and thirty miles away from the Grimm Monsters, and seeing the way temperature is increasing, it would be hard for the Grimm Monsters to walk even a mile.
