Mend My Broken Heart

Chapter 57

He dialed Butler Chen's number and after a ring, the middle aged man answered while riding his bike.

"Yes, Young Master."

While Lyndon is busy with his plans in country P, Misha on the other hand could not help but think about her husband.

As much as she wanted to be there for him, she's being needed by their children. She has the duty to make their home a home where he could return to.

She did not know how many times she had sighed now and even the new nanny that was hired by Lyndon noticed her uneasiness.

"Madam, are you okay?" the old lady asked.

"I'm okay Nana... I'm just worried about Lyndon." she said while gazing at the night sky. Nana, however knew how much worry she had inside.

"Don't worry about Master. He will return to your side soon." the old lady kindly said. Misha glanced at the old woman who was sitting beside her with a complex emotion. She was hired by Lyndon to help her out with the kids and she had been greatly helping her for how many days now.

"I know. I just can't help it. Is Gabrielle and Ezekiel asleep?" she asked about her babies.

"Yes they are. They are well-behaved kids and I hope they will be good kids in the future." Nana said to Misha and she nodded

"Nana, have you experienced something like this?" Misha asked as she still looked up at the starry sky.

The old lady went silent and Misha looked at her.

"It's okay if you don't tell me. Anyway, do you still have a family?" Misha asked out of the blue.

"I don't remember my past Madam so I could not answer your question, I'm sorry." the old woman said with a pain in her voice. Misha panicked upon hearing this.

"I'm sorry... I don't know. I am really sorry." she thought it was too personal to ask and the pain in the old lady's voice made her heart ache for the old woman.

"It's okay Madam... I'm glad I could share your burdens and worries. I felt that I still have some use. Haha..." with a slight sadness in her voice, she said this to Misha. Even with the small laugh in the end carried such sadness.

Not knowing what to do, she let out another sigh and looked at the stars up above. They were in the veranda while having some tea prepared by Nana.

"Nana... We can be your family..." said Misha while sparing a glance at the old lady's reaction.

She could help but soften to the old lady.

"Is that true Madam? Can I be your family?" the old lady still could not believe what she had just heard from her employer as she did not receive such kindness from anybody.

"Yes we can. I miss my grandma and I can see some resemblance in your eyes." said Misha as she patted the back of the old woman's hand.

"Is that true?" the old woman still couldn't believe it and by then, Misha looked at her in the eyes to show her sincerity.

"Can I hug you?" without any answer, Misha hugged Nana and she felt comfort within her.

The hug eased some of her worries about Lyndon and the war he's preparing to have with the so-called "King".

She knew that the man is not kind and he can be so ruthless, that was why Lyndon sent him along with their kids here to ensure their safety.

Anyway, they have four guard dogs in here and they can be trusted with guarding.

Meanwhile back in Country P, Lyndon could not sleep either. He missed Misha and their children. As much as he wanted to call her, he could not do so for their safety. His phone call could be tracked down with Corrine and then they will find Misha and the kids. He could not allow any loophole in their plans and he could not forgive himself if Misha would be dragged in this mess.

It's the least thing he could do for his family.

As he was lost in his thoughts, his phone rang and it pulled him out from his reveerie. Without glancing the name on the phone he put it on his ear.

"Speak."

"Sir, Mr. King is in the office wanting to see you." Maybel was the one who called.

"Tell him I'm out." he instructed.

"I already told him Sir but he's quite persistent and he even asked where are you right now so he could find you." Maybel began to worry. She's not the type of woman who can handle such excessive intimidation.

"Give him the phone." as he inhale a mouthful of air. The other end began to speak.

"h.e.l.lo, brother..."
