Mend My Broken Heart

Chapter 37

She wanted to toss and turn but the man who embraced her like a treasure, did not budge. Not until, she accidentally kicked his little brother. It made the man groan in pain and made him wide awake.

Lyndon stared at Misha with a wrinkled brow.

"I can't sleep and I'm hungry. I want to eat something." she said while having that pouted lips and sulky demeanor.

'Throwing a tantrums in the middle of the night?' he thought of it amusingly. "What do you want to eat little wife?" he asked while caressing her hair softly.

"Unripe mangoes." she said abruptly while having that pleading look at him.

"Huh? It's in the middle of the night and most of the store now is close." he tried to reason her out but it only made her upset. And unripe mangoes? Where the h.e.l.l he will find something like that in this vast steel city?!

"Please little husband. I'll fulfill any thing you will ask me to just find me some unripe mangoes." she pleaded him

He gave in. He could not win against her and thinking that she's pregnant and making her upset will affect the fetus, then he will flip this country over just to find her unripe mangoes.

Unripe mangoes, bring it on!

He called Maybel. He asked her if she had some contacts from the farmers in country P.

The young secretary woke up upon receiving the important call from her boss. Groggily, she dialed a number on her phone and she spoke to the other line not caring if someone was listening to her.

"Uncle, you have an unripe mango? Can you please send some to the Heavenly Palace door 9. My boss' wife is having some of her cravings.." she said but the other line was still silent. She looked at her phone and wrinkled her brows when she realized that she dialed the wrong number from the directory. She pressed one instead of two.

Sensing that the other line is about to speak, she hastily said, "Sorry, wrong number." then hung up the phone.

This time, she carefully looked at the number on the directory before she dialed again, afraid that she will call another wrong number.

She called the number of the supplier and farmer from country P and she paid extra charges for the sudden delivery.

Upon receiving the late night delivery, Lyndon went to the kitchen to peel the green mangoes that reeked sourness. He could barely hold his saliva from falling out. Misha popped in the kitchen and saw her husband carefully peeling the unripe mangoes for her. She occupied a seat on the table and waited patiently for him to finish.

"What will you add on this?" he asked when he was about to finish slicing up the green mangoes.

"We don't have pickled shrimps anymore... Just soy sauce and vinegar will do and add some chili on it. I want it to be spicy." she commanded like a boss and the lowly servant obeyed her without any qualms.

'Where did she learn all of this type of sauce?' he asked himself while putting some chili on the sauce. "Here little wife. Don't eat too much of it, it will be bad for the baby." he warned as he placed the sauce beside mangoes.

"Okay little husband. Just a little." she said while picking up a slice of mango and dipped it with the sauce he made earlier.

Seeing her happy, makes him happy too. He could not resist his urge to try the unripe mangoes so he got a slice for himself and directly bitten it. His face soured as it was the main taste of the fruit.

After a few more slices, she stopped eating and Lyndon got her a gla.s.s of water for her and him too.

"Thanks little husband." she smiled and give him a smack on his lips but before she could run and head back to their bedroom, she was grabbed by Lyndon and kissed her pa.s.sionately.

"You're welcome little wife." he said while carrying her in his arms towards the bedroom.
