Chapter 9

"This place is a dump" said Chris moving some dirty gym clothes aside.

After adding a pair of gym clothes to the pile Henry sat down on a bench to think, Chris saw him thinking and decided to ask him.

"Your thinking about her right? "

"Me? Of course not am thinking about how we are going to finish this work on time"

"You know this is all your fault right, if you had just focused we would have never been here. Oh and by the way I know your lying your left eye twitches when your lie, your definitely thinking about her" said Chris in a confident tone.

Looking at Chris with a smirk on his face Henry said "Yeah I am thinking about her, she looks so confident and happy all the time who would have known she had over protective parents and she rarely spends time having fun, I wish I knew how to make that day special"

"What day is that?, we still have that big biology project to think of and its at the end of the school year and we still don't have partners"

"s.h.i.+t! I still forgot to ask her about all that and we didn't exactly choose a date for our little adventure I'll have to meet her and get details, maybe take her number".

Henry was deep in thought when Chris sat next to him.

"You could read the book, I bet it has advice inside since you seem stuck"

Henry pointed towards his bag where the book was

"I read most parts of the book, although it has good tactics it doesn't really tell me how to make a girl happy"

Putting his hand on Henry's shoulder Chris exclaimed "Girls are weird and happiness is a state of mind, you have to know what the person loves and thinks about before you can make that person happy"

"Wow didn't know you had such good advice, how are you still single?"

They both laughed and decided to get the work finished as fast as they could.

Few minutes later they had finish arranging the lockers and taking all the clothes to the laundry decided to rush home so that they could relax before school tomorrow.

On their way Chris saw Rosie coming out of the school towards the parking lot looking a little pale and sad he called to Henry who was about to get on his bike.

"Isn't that Rosie over there she looks sad, like something is bugging her" said Chris pointing towards her direction.

Henry came down from his bike and decided to go and talk to Rosie. He walk towards her and called out "Rosie? Are you alright?!"

Rosie was looking fl.u.s.tered but she smiled and said "Hi Henry, I was just thinking"

"What are you thinking about?"

Rosie's face change she was clearly not happy but she decided to fake the smile and told Henry what happened.

"So she called your dad, doesn't sound that bad"

"Yeah its not supposed to be a problem cause its my first offense, but I already know my dad will overreact cause am new here!!"

Henry stoked his hair, cleared his throat looked at Rosie and said

"Are you sure your not overreacting a little bit, looks like you and your dad have that in common"

Rosie's face became red she was blus.h.i.+ng cause of what Henry said.

Henry thought to himself "I think I have made her happy, time to seal the deal"

"So Rosie, would you mind if I take your number?"

"Uhhhh"

"If you don't want to its cool"

"No, its not that its just weird that you brought that up like that"

Smiling nervously Henry told Rosie the day that they should go to the carnival and he needed the number so the operation would be a success. They agreed to go out on the weekend so they won't have problems with school. After discussing and agreeing with the day Henry asked, "So its Sat.u.r.day by 5pm, hope you'll be ready?"

Rosie brought out a pen from her bag and wrote her number on a piece of paper. She then replied, "Yeah definitely"

Henry was about to walk away then he stopped and said, "I'll see you soon, goodluck with your dad, he sounds nice".

Rosie laughed and watched as Henry walked over to Chris who was leaning on his bike waiting for Henry.
