Chapter 48
"I'll let you know something about it after a week. This is not something as simple as I thought." Thomas Young gazed at Si Weimin while rubbing his chin.
"A week? Isn't that too long?"
"Bro, this isn't easy. I need to be sure and careful about these things."
"You've been handling much complicated matters than this, why is this any different?"
"Wait. Wait. Bro, I'm in dead end here. Even in my mission, I need to have information to help me make my mission accomplished."
"Still, that is too long. Make it five days."
"What? No, bro. One week at the very least. C'mon bro, I'm only handsome but I'm not a superhero." Thomas Young grinned as he raised his thumb and forefinger that
"No one mentioned you being handsome. Don't dream. The night is still young."
"Pfft! Still no sense of humour, tch! You are doing this for you long time crush. When will you have b.a.l.l.s to confess? Ha ha ha"
"-__-" Upon seeing Si Weimin's glowering at him, Thomas Young's huge smile faded away like it hadn't even there. He clucked his tongue before he said,
"Anyway, bro. Kidding aside, I really need at least a week. I'll do what I can." He was clearly deep in thought when Si Weimin speak,
"Out now."
"This is ridiculous! Are you serious, bro?"
"Out."
"This is bullying! After calling me like New Zealand is very near, you didn't even ask me for a drink? Bro, this is inhumane. SEE? I didn't even have the chance to change my clothes."
That was the only time Si Weimin noticed that Thomas Young was still wearing his military trouser and jacket. However, instead of being guilty, he answered,
"I can do much more if you won't get out in a second."
Thomas Young got out of the car in a hurry while mumbling incoherent words. He stomped his feet as he closed the door. The angry look on his face was enough to make Si Weimin laugh. He missed his friend and their old time carousing.
They've always been friends, helping one another but due to their own careers, they seldom saw one another.
Si Weimin saw him salute mockingly before he rode his car. He gave him a nod before he started the engine of the car. He took a glimpse to the dark alley once again as the light coming from his car spread out, lighting the darkness.
He was still thinking about the movement he heard which made him unsettled. He stared at it for a bit more before he drove closer to the venue. He decided to wait for Xu Jia Li there so that he could easily see her once she went out.
