Chapter 26
It is [Geld], the town of sin, where there are no laws, no moral standards, no guarantee safties, no loves, and ironically no violence. The reason for it is this town is built for the violence.
Late at night, in these empty streets, there is a little girl who is suffering from the chilly wind because she did not have enough clothes to wear to keep her warm.
She is sobbing, with no tears; perhaps her tears get dry up by the freezing wind or maybe she just ran out of tears to cry. She is skinny, boney, but strangely she is pretty. She has a pair of beautiful green eye, slightly high pointy nose in fit with the eyes. She has the most beautiful, soft but curly long hair in the world. If we overlook her flaws of the body shape she is one h.e.l.l of a pretty young girl.
Her name is Medusa. She got kicked out of the house because her parent is trying to have their quality time alone and doesn't want to be disturbed. Medusa has nowhere to go; she is hungry, lonely, insecure, and she is homeless.
She walks around the street searching for food that people left behind so she can fill up her groaning stomach. Unfortunately, people in this town is fairly poor, therefore wasting food is not one of their habits.
Medusa hasn't eaten or drank anything today; she is near death from starvation. She still is a growing young kid; a kid like her age should eat three meals a day to have a strong, healthy body. If she continues to starve she could be dead by the end of the night; she is hopeless, lost, and despair. She finally finds a bench where she can rest for a little bit before she dies.
"Hey, you seem hungry; you want food?" An immature voice has sparks Medusa's hope back on fire.
"..." She looks up and saw a young boy; not too much older than her. Holding a bread standing in front of her; looking into her eyes and waiting for a response. She did answer back immediately; she is scared to answer him. From all the grievous even that
"It's free. You can have it." The boy gives her a big smile; even though it is a very uncomfortable smile. In her eyes, that is the most brittle smile she has ever seen.
"..." She still didn't say a word. However, her body does it for her.
She takes over the bread and starts eating like a pig, no manner what so ever. Of course; what is a manner to a starving person? It is a decent size bread, not too big but not too small, but she finishes it in matters of seconds.
"My name is Poseidon. I'm from the outside." The young boy said.
The talker is unintentional, but the listener is intentional. It is just an ordinary self-introduction for the young boy, but it is an extraordinary introduction to Medusa.
"...!" Medusa looks up and straight into the boy's eyes. Medusa's eyes are filled with flames of hope and expectation. She didn't even finish her last bite of the bread, all she can think about is that this young, ordinary but cute looking boy is from the outside.
The boy didn't say a thing but keeps his uncomfortable smile on his face like he didn't notice anything different from Medusa's face expression. Waiting for her a take that leap and response.
"Outside?" Medusa finally asks; simply but full of excitement and questions.
"Yes, I'm from a place called Greek. It is a beautiful country; there is a lot of fascinating architecture, amazing people, and there is a lot of delicious foods." The boy said.
"Foods? Delicious?" Medusa is lost of words, all she can think about is food that the boy mention.
"Yes, food!" The boy replies.
"..." Medusa is shocked. In her mind, food is like a treasure that people will fight to the death for it. Even though this town is surrounded by mountains and forests, but because the people in here are so dumb to figure out how to build weapons and tools to hunt and gather food to supplies them self.
"Can...Can you take me to your country?" Medusa timidly asks.
"Sure!" The boy gives her a definite answer.
"..." Before Medusa can thank him, the boy cuts her off; looks at her with a playful smile and said,
"But...Only under one condition...!"
"..." Medusa falls in silence, a few moments later she said, "What condition?"
"Do you really want to get out of here?" The boy asks.
"Yes! I don't want to spend a G.o.d d.a.m.n second in here!" Medusa shouts.
"Can you tell me why?" The boy leans back a little and repositions his body sitting like an adult. Then he stretches out his arm to place it on the back of the bench.
"..." She opens her mouth, but words stop on the tip of her tongue. Slowly, she starts to sobbing up; tears are gathering up themselves upon the tip of her eye.
"They are monsters! They are G.o.d d.a.m.n monsters! They want to eat me alive like a G.o.d d.a.m.n monster!" Medusa croons her answer and then all of the sudden shouts out her anger towards the people that once hurt her.
"They are monsters? You don't like monsters?" The boy softly asks.
"No! I hate all of them! I wish they can all die!" Medusa continues to shout.
"What do you like?" The boy didn't seem to mind Medusa's screams.
"I don't like...I like whoever that can help me out of this sh*t hole..." Looks like Medusa has finally got all her anger out.
"Oh! Anyone?" The boy asks; baiting her into a mind trap he has set up for her.
"Yes!" Medusa answers with a serious face, "Anyone!"
"Even the devil himself?" Seems like Medusa finally has fallen into the young boy's trap.
"...Yes...If he can get me out of here!" Medusa goes all out.
"You've met my condition! Congrats!" The young boy stands up and gives her three weak claps.
"...What?" Medusa continues.
"It's fine...Now is pretty late, a pretty young lady like you need to rest!" The boy suggests.
"...What...hat...at...t...?" Medusa feels a sudden tiredness rising upon her head, her eyes feel like it is getting heavier and heavier, the uncomfortable bench she was sitting on feels cozy all of the sudden, the freezing cold wind suddenly doesn't seem to bother her at all. She closes her eyes feeling a sudden peace in her mind, then slowly sleeps.
"Good night!" The young boy smirks and pets her on the forehead,
"Sweet Dreams!"
