Dungeon System: World Of Chaos And War

Chapter 4

It was pretty peaceful despite the Dungeon being opened to the public. The Ogres were well fed and enjoyed their time on the third floor. John didn't want the Orges to train, he had something special for them in the future.

John viewed their status, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary about the two but he couldn't tell if they were strong or not. But knowing that Ogres had High Strength, he could tell that the number of their strength was no joke. The innate Talent Huge Power also added to their strength so it was stronger than the number displayed.

"When will I be able to buy these things on the system, they would be a big help if I got some more." John sighed. These creatures were just too strong and had high potential, he needed more of them.

John saw that they were doing alright and decided to check in on his mud Golem, it was in its mud state on the ground. Golems had cores in their bodies that would keep them going, John learned that this Golem would be able to regenerate faster if mana was in this dungeon.

The Boss Room was big and the Golem stood around 3.5 meters in height. However, the Golem looked like melted ice cream, it blended in with the muddy environment around it, it would rise the minute an intruder came in. John looked over the 5th floor and knew he needed to put monsters on this floor.

"The Monster that I have aren't suited for a swampy environment, I guess I'll have to wait until I unlock more." John didn't dwell on it and looked at the fourth floor, there was nothing wrong here. So, he left everything at that and went on his way. John had a total of 4,550 Dp so he really wasn't trying to spend anything.

John wanted to explore outside of the cave, maybe he could have his Goblins capture some creatures in the area. John himself couldn't leave the Dungeon but his forces could. He discovered that there was a special crystal ball he could buy from the system he could give to his Goblins to view the Forest around him. The crystal ball worked like a live streaming device, he could have his Goblins carry it as they walked around the forest hunting.

The Goblins were being trained every day on how to hunt, they knew how to make traps and much more. Just when he was about to set up some force to explore the outside, he heard an alarm go off.

[Beep! Danger! Hostile Intruders!]

John was startled from the alarm, it was another invader!? He immediately pulled up the Virtual Screen to check. John was a bit surprised, it was a group of Humans with a number count of five.

John just smiled and listened in on their conversation.

"So, the Danger Level Scanner showed that this is a fresh new dungeon, right?" The man with the long sword asked.

"Yep! This Dungeon is a Code White Grade 1 Dungeon, it should only have a total of 3 floors before we

"Good! We really lucked out this time, even a weak and small core like this Dungeon should sell for a high price!" This man had a bow in his had with a quiver on his back filled with arrows.

"Okay, let's do this and conquer this place, haha!" A man in red robes stood in the back, he had a staff in his hand which got John knowing what he was.

The group continued to walk and one guy said "Low-level Dungeons should only sp.a.w.n lowly monsters like Slime. Hehe, once we conquer this Dungeon and get paid, I'm gonna have me a little fun at a wh.o.r.ehouse!" l.u.s.t was written all over the man's face as his imagination ran wild.

However, as they were stepping forward.

Whoos.h.!.+

A trap that a Goblin had set, opened up, and the man who was letting his imagination run wild fell in!

"Ahhh!"

Because he and everyone else had underestimated this Dungeon, he fell into a trap! The man was impaled by several spikes sticking out of the trap below, he died just like that!

"Rev!"

One of the men was surprised, everyone was, in fact. Low-level Dungeons of the White first Grade never had traps set up, it was usually Grade two or higher!

"Forget it, he's dead, let's keep moving!" The man in the red robes spoke coldly, he didn't care about any of them, he just wanted the Dungeon Core. Everyone agreed, it was his fault for not paying attention, besides, it was more money for them.

Once they walked off, John had the Dungeon absorb the dead man.

[Ding! You've earned 500 Dp!]

It was a decent amount but not as much as John would like, he could only wait for these guys to die.

"The trap actually worked on a human, but he seemed to have been careless before it happened." John speculated. He could tell from the man's fl.u.s.tered face that he was off his game. John said no more and continued to watch the four men.

"d.a.m.n, this Dungeon entrance is surprisingly filled with traps! I wonder what type of Dungeon master it is, could it be a Goblin, haha!?" The man with the long sword laughed in disdain and mockery.

"Shus.h.!.+ We need to focus on..." Before he could finish, the man in front of his step on a trap b.u.t.ton!

Bloop!

Suddenly, the wall opened and a swarm of arrows came flying out of the wall!

"Evade!" Everyone was shocked, wasn't this trap a little too advanced!? They were able to evade but some of them were pierced, the swordsman from before had no choice but to parry some of the incoming arrows. The man in the Red Robes summoned a wall of fire and incinerated the arrows before they could connect with him.

"What the h.e.l.l was that, did you see that trap!?" The fat short man was outraged, he was..h.i.t in the leg with an arrow. He hurriedly to check and see if the arrow was embedded with poison. He sighed in relief after knowing that they weren't poisonous.

"Be on guard, this little Dungeon isn't so simple from what I'm seeing!" The man in the red Robes doubled his guard.

"It's just a few traps, it must have wasted a lot of resources to make these traps, it might even have two floors as the limit!" The swordsman didn't believe that some lowly White Grade 1 Dungeon could be so decked out.

The man in red shook his head, he had seen Deceitful Dungeons before, he had a feeling this one was like that. After the fat man applied ointment and bandages to himself, they proceed onward. They were much cautious now, but that was the end of the traps after you pa.s.sed the arrow launcher.

They had evaded all of the ditch traps after the last guy's demise to one. "Wow, this cave is lit by some pretty nice crystals, maybe we can take them?" The man with bow and arrow said.

"We can do that on our way out, right now we need to conquer this place!" The robed man said. The bowman shrugged and said no more. The group soon came to a body of water within the cave, it looked so clear and clean.

"Ah! Water!"

The bowman and swordsman rushed towards the water but before they could drink any, the Robed man spoke.

"Don't get close, it may be some monsters hiding in the water you morons!" The man warned. They all stopped in their tracks and looked at the Fatman.

"Okay, I'll use my detect to see if it's dangerous or not!" The man closed his eyes for a brief moment and found that the water was completely empty and safe. After hearing that, the two drunk from the water without any warning.

John grinned coldly seeing the two idiots drinking from his little lake.

"Phew, this water is so refres.h.i.+ng, in fact, it's the best I've ever had!"

"Oh yea, I second that! Look, there a pathway leaving downstair, it must be the path to the second floor!" The robed man and Fatman look at where the man pointing and saw the stairway.

"Come on, let's head down!" The bowman stood up and walked over immediately, he was followed by his party.

The group walked down the stone stairs to the second floor as John alarmed the Goblins and Kobolds that trouble was coming and to prepare. "We'll see if you guys can last any longer than this, it's going to get troublesome from here on!"

With that, the Goblin army and Koblods prepared for incoming trouble, their numbers were far greater than before. John was feeling confident about his army and sat back to watch the upcoming show.
