Primordial Blood Throne: Book 1 Chapter 32 - Negotiations (2)

Edited by Owner – (21/39) until 50.

Su Chen got straight to the point. "If I die, everything about Old Mulberry's scheme will be spread."

The person in black snorted in reply but made no other reaction.

What reaction could he make? After reading the letter and hearing what Su Chen had said, this result was expected.

On the contrary, he should be glad that Su Chen was prudent enough and discovered him before he could act. The plans of their organization might have been deeply affected if he had been killed in a single strike.

Thinking up to here, the person said, "If you pledge that you will not spread the incident from earlier, I am able to not kill you."

Su Chen showed a cynical face. "Indeed a fool."

"What did you say?" the person in black was enraged.

Su Chen already continued, "Do you think that everything I had prepared up till now, is just to prevent you guys from killing me? If that was the case, I would have immediately spread the information. Once the news was spread, there would be no need for you guys to silence me."

The person in black became speechless but reluctant to back down and continued, "Then you would have thoroughly offended us."

Su Chen smirked, "The way you say it, it's as though there's a difference between in outcome."

The person in black got flabbergasted.

Indeed, would there have been a difference between offending and not offending them?

No matter what, they would have still come after Su Chen. Why can't he take the initiative instead?

Having constantly lost his words, the person in black finally recognized that this person in front wasn't a normal teenager, but a smart person with a clear mind and plan. The person retracted the mentality of contempt and finally took Su Chen seriously.: "What do you want?"

Su Chen finally placed the bronze basin down.

He took out a piece of paper from his pocket and pa.s.sed it over. "I want these."

The person in back sweep through its contents with a glance: "A bottle of Nightmare Snake venom, one Ironwood plant, four Ninth Grade Origin Armaments of which, one must be long range, one for melee combat, one body armor, one pair of boots… You are just extorting us!"

The person in black was now trembling in rage.

What was an Origin Armament?

It was a type of equipment that could use Origin Energy powers!

The thousands of years of evolutionary history within Origin Desolate Continent, was also the history of how Origin Energy was used. From Primordial Ancestors and Primordial Beasts at the beginning, to the Arcane World Empire later, to modern times where numerous races rose in power, they were all the same. And these Origin Armaments were the most representative achievement of intellectual life forms after the discovery of learning how to manipulate and cultivate Origin Energy.

A piece of excellent Origin Armament could greatly increase its user's strength; its value was naturally exceptionally precious. Even in the Su Family, there were only three pieces of Origin Armaments, two Ninth Grades, one Eighth Grade.

Origin Armaments were categorized into nine different tiers with Ninth Grades being the lowest. First Grade being the highest. Any higher and you had the Divine Armaments of legends. There's no need to bring those up.

Su Chen immediately requested four Origin Armaments. This was already not a lion's demand but the robbery of a dragon, and on top of that, he also requested for other items like the venom of Nightmare Snake and Ironwood plant.

The Nightmare Snake was a type of Demon Beast that was prized for its venom which possessed the effect of bewitchment and illusion. Su Chen requested a bottle. One must

Both were precious items of high value, and in certain aspects, they may even be more precious than Origin Weapons. At least Origin Weapons could be found in the right places, but the venom and plant will be extremely difficult to locate.

Therefore, it could not be blamed that the person in black got angry immediately. He gave a chilling smile, "What a big appet.i.te, aren't you afraid that you will eat too much and die?"

"If you dare to give, I will dare to eat." Su Chen replied bluntly. "Return and tell the person who sent you that these are my terms. As long as you can deliver them, I will definitely forget everything that I have heard."

The person in black immediately shook his head. "Young man, your appet.i.te is too big, even if I relay your terms to Old Mulberry when I return, he will not agree."

Su Chen pondered for a while, "Then I am willing to reduce one Origin Armament."

The person in black was impatient as he said, "It is not about the Origin Armaments, it's just that it is too difficult to obtain Nightmare Snake Venom and Ironwood. To think that you can think of requesting for a full bottle of venom and a whole plant. Even our leader would not be willing to pay such a high price."

Although the speaker was casual in his reply, but Su Chen managed to determine their situation from this. From the other party's words, he immediately understood that providing four Ninth Grade Origin Armaments was not a big deal to them. They were even able to take out Nightmare Snake venom and Ironwood, it was just a matter of whether it was worth it for them or not.

Under normal circ.u.mstance, an organization's strength and wealth had a relative relations.h.i.+p.

Therefore, when he heard the person in black's words, Su Chen could determine that this organization's power was not small.

Knowing that the other party was a large organization, Su Chen also knew what approach he should make.

Su Chen immediately spoke in an amiable manner: "Actually, I will be going into the Deep Red Mountain Range in a few days from now."

"What did you say?" the person in black was surprised.

Su Chen continued. "My journey into the Deep Red Mountains is the reason why I requested for these items. You also know, if I were to die…that information will be spread as the few individuals that I have made arrangements with, will not bother about the real reason behind my death. I am just saying, if I died by the hands of a Fiend Beast, resulting in the esteemed organization's plans being leaked, then wouldn't it be an injustice to you."

"Can't you just not go?"

"I have no choice." Su Chen shrugged: "I made a mistake and have recently received the punishment from my family clan."

He retold the incident that happened during the day.

Of course, he did not say that the Deep Red Discipline was proposed by him and definitely did not dare to confess that the reason he dared to enter the Deep Red Mountain Range was because he had already planned to rip-off the person in black and his organization to aid him in the first place. He only explained about how he was being constantly suppressed by his family and had no choice but to enter the mountain range.

Hearing everything that had happened, the person in black became stupefied. He did not expect that Su Chen was facing so much troubles with his family.

Initially, this had nothing to do with them, however, if this kid got into trouble, the plans of their organization would also be affected.

d.a.m.n it, this is a kidnapping!

The person in black scolded in his heart.

Kidnapping and framing were always something that the organization was skilled at but they would never have imagined that they would be compel but a fifteen year old teenager.

Now that things have happened, he had no other choice. "I will return and report this incident and will come back after a decision is made."

"No problem but better be quick."

"Tomorrow, this time, I will come find you." The person in black melded into the darkness after, disappearing without a trace.

Su Chen blankly stared at the empty spot as though nothing had happened. It was only after a long while did he release a long breath. "Finally done."

This was the first-time that he was scheming against an enemy that was much more powerful than himself. If he made any wrong moves, he might have lost his head immediately. And because of that, Su Chen couldn''t help but feel a wave of nervousness within his heart. He did not feel it when he was facing the matter. Only when the danger has pa.s.sed, did he suddenly feel that his legs somehow softened.

However, his fearful heart only existed for an instant before it was waved off.

His gaze became filled with determination. "Those who wants to achieve great things will need to take great risks. No matter the outcome in the end, I will have no regrets!"

To be able to achieve results within the Deep Red Mountain Range, he could no longer rely on his family; he could only rely on these group of mysterious individuals.

The person in black would never have thought that, from the very beginning, Su Chen had been waiting for them – scheming against them.

Now, he must wait for the outcome when the other party made his report.
