Chapter 9
"are you sure...!?" Kat cried.
"I should be asking you that!" He shouted.
"After all, you were the one who was there the day Aya got kidnapped..." He narrowed his eyes.
"Randall, I-I couldn't-"
"Nah, I'm not implyin' you could'a stopped it, however..." He looked up at a building.
"Maybe you'll be able to spot the jerk who took her..." He said, slowly creaking open the door.
"Hah?" A voice called out.
"Who's there...?"
There was silence.
"Look, if you're trying to take shelter from the chaos goin' on outside, this ain't the place for you to be takin' sh-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Kat came from behind, whacking him hard on the head with her hammer.
The man was knocked unconscious.
"Is he...?" Randall whispered.
Kat bit her lip, studying the mans appearance.
"Nope..." She frowned.
"Lookin' for me...?" A voice called.
The two quickly spun around.
However, they didn't see a source to the voice.
"I recognize you, ya little red hair brat..." The voice snickered.
Kat's eyes widened.
"SHOW YOURSELF...!" Randall shrieked.
"'Fraid you'll just have to find me yourself...!" He laughed, his voice fading.
"Randall!" Kat cried.
"He has the ability to blend in with his surroundings, we gotta be careful!" Kat said, cautiously surveying the room.
"Ah c.r.a.p..." Randall frowned.
"All we can do is just focus on where the sound is comin' from..." He narrowed his eyes.
"Or..." Kat began.
She then proceeded to begin flailing
"K-KAT...!?" Randall cried.
"NO WAY, FORGET IT, THAT ISN'T GONNA W-"
Suddenly, a man materialized on the ground, letting out a groan.
It worked!? Randall thought to himself.
"Start talkin'!" Kat cried, as she finished knotting the rope, tying the man to a chair.
"Tch," The man clicked his tongue.
"I don't owe you anyth-"
Randall grabbed the man by the face.
"Listen pal..." He growled.
"Tell us where my sister is, or you'll pay..." He slowly took his sungla.s.ses off, revealing his black eyes.
"Y-you're...!" The man stammered nervously.
"F-FINE, I'LL TELL YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT TO KNOW...!" The man shrieked.
"We targeted your sister for the demon human exchange program,"
"WHY!?" Randall barked.
"Lemme finish d.a.m.nit!" The man cried.
"She seemed weak enough..." He muttered.
Randall looked at the floor.
"Where is she..." He began, his hand shaking, forming a fist.
"S-she's living on the Summers University campus with the humans that host the program..." The man then narrowed his eyes.
"She was purified however..."
Randall's eyes widned.
"Purified...?" He questioned.
"She was purged of her sin's becoming...'human'." The man said.
"Only, that's not the case, you can turn a human into a demon when they die and come to h.e.l.l, but..."
"You can't transform a demon into a human, you can just brainwash 'em to think that they are one..." He smirked.
"That's all I've got, so..." The man blushed.
"U-untie me please...?" He pleaded.

"C'mon Kat, we gotta go help the others, hopefully succeed in doing so, then rescue Aya!" Randall cried, running off.
"Mmm!" Kat nodded, following behind.
"H-h.e.l.lO...!?" The man cried, still tied up, as the door slammed shut.
