Beast Mutation

Chapter 17

"Actually..." said Karol and started to narrate what happened after the first clash with the rabbit. After he was pushed back, he realized that he couldn't break its defense. So, he thought about using the skill he recently got.

He got that idea when running towards the rabbit as he saw its stomach, which was not covered by any fur. So, he used the first strike of the skill to throw the rabbit upwards as its weight was meager.

After throwing the rabbit in the air, he used the remaining two strikes of the skill to hit at the same place in its stomach. If he had missed the attack by a single centimeter, he would have surely lost the fight as he needed some time to use that skill once again.

But the main reason was the skill as it covered the sword in the mana, which increases the attack power by almost 20% after each consecutive strike.

Hearing that Alan was surprised, as this little kid was able to think of a strategy to defeat a beast, he met for the first time this easily. "You got a great battle sense, but let me tell you something, you should never tell anyone about the details of your skills or spells." Alan said with a serious face.

Hearing that, Karol was looking at him with a confused as he couldn't understand that. "Well, if you tell someone about your skills, then they can use it against you." Alan said, realizing that Karol is still a child with a pure brain.

Hearing that, Karol

Exiting the dimension, they started walking towards the counter to meet Leah. The surrounding adventurer was surprised to see Karol in that condition because they also knew what that place is for, and they started to Eve's dropping on the conversation between the Kid and Leah.

"Leah, he has finished the test by killing the beast." Alan said casually while looking at Leah. Hearing that Leah was surprised, as she didn't think Karol will be able to pa.s.s the test.

"Congratulations Karol, from now on, you are a G-rank adventurer." She said while maintaining her surprised face. "Don't worry, I will tell you about how he killed that beast." said Alan while looking at the shocked face Leah was making with a small smile.

"That's a promise, Oh! Here you go, Karol, your adventurer card." Leah said with enthusiasm while giving a leather card to Karol. Taking the Leather Card, Karol saw that there were three things written on the card, one was his name, the second was his age, and the last thing was his rank, which was G-Rank (Mortal).

The surrounding adventurers were also surprised to hear the conversation between them as they knew how rare someone was, who was able to kill a beast of their same level, even though that kid is at the lowest level. An uproar was started in the building, hearing that news. "Silence!" said Leah in a loud voice, and the uproar was silent in a second. Karol was amazed to see that, with her voice, she quiet, everyone in this room.

"You should form a party with some adventurer and complete some quest to make money and increase your ranks." Leah said, looking at Karol, who made an amazing face, as this was on her job to guide the new adventurer in their journey.

Hearing that, Karol nodded his head and turned around to take a quest, but he suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned around and asked." Big Sis Leah, I want your help with something." Karol said as he remembered something important.

"Sure, say anything you need my help in with, without any worries." She said with a wide smile as she liked it when someone calls her big sister. "I want to hire a caretaker for my mother as she is sick, but I don't know any place to find one." Karol said as he knew that,

Aunty Joana could not stay with her mother all day as she has her own family to take care of her, and he couldn't stay with her all day to help her as he will be out making some money. So, this is why he wanted to hire a caretaker to take care of her mother in that condition.

Hearing that, Leah started to think about the place that let people hire as a caretaker for some money when suddenly Alan chimed in their conversation and said." Why don't you buy just a slave." with a nonchalant face.

Hearing that both of them were surprised, "I am saying that because there are chances that the caretaker can take advantage of your mother in that condition, but if buy a slave, then it can never betray you or take advantage of your mother." He said as he wanted to justify himself.

Hearing his explanation, Karol also realized that it was a better idea to buy a slave than to rent a caretaker as his mother's condition is worse than they were thinking about.

"Aren't you are ashamed of your thoughts." Leah suddenly said, looking at Alan with disgust in her eyes as she hated those people who treat people's life as nothing as she also had a past as a slave, and at those times, people treated her life as equal to an insect's life.
