Aloof CEO's; Charming Secretary

Chapter 548

She was still in confusion when Arlo laid her down on the bed before climbing on top of her. "I will help you to start."

Before she came out of the daze, her face was rained with kisses. But seeing him pause looking at her lips, her heart ached.

From the time they reconciled, he would wrap his arms tighter as if she would disappear anytime leaving him. He was scared to even hold her hand firmly thinking he might hurt her.

She knew he was scared to lose her. Thought of losing someone was worse and she had experienced it. But the thought of losing someone you love would be even harder and she can understand it.

"Don't you trust yourself?" Sky asked suddenly which made him raise his brows.

Before he could respond to her question, Sky pulled him down by his s.h.i.+rt collar and pressed on his cold lips. Arlo was surprised for a few seconds. Despite her nervousness, she initiated knowing what he was thinking which meant a lot to him.

Her face was flushed red and eyes were closed. He couldn't help but return the kiss. He slowly deepened the kiss...

He released after knowing she was losing breath. Seeing her plump reddened lips looking like a soft rose petal, he went for it again. He had missed her even though he was seeing her all day. He thought winning her back would take time but she was still the same before his rumpus.

He released her to let her take a breather and buried his face in her neck before chuckling. He wanted to talk when her breathing became normal but Sky commented, "Scaredy cat"

Arlo knew why she said it but he teased. "Me? or You?"

"You!"

"Oh! How about I continue?" He said and slid her hand under his s.h.i.+rt.

Sky folded her fingers into a fist and tried to pull back. 'I dug my own grave.' written well on her face.

Even though she fastened her fist, her fingers grazed his abs making him pause. Feeling the cold fingers on his skin, he half-heartedly left her hand as he just wanted to tease her.

After sleeping on his back and pulling her to his arms, he spoke, "Sky!" Sky hummed.

"Why do everyone is protective of you?" Arlo asked but Sky had no answer for that other than saying, "Because everyone

Sky continued after a pause. "Grandfather isn't as scary as Dad said. But don't lie. I will try to placate him but rest will depend on you."

Arlo hummed, "Why is Dad scared of grandfather?"

Sky giggled before responding, "Dad just met him twice and both the times he screwed up Dad saying he was just there to steal me away, he isn't fit to look after me as a father and so on. Grandfather never let Dad rebuff. He is very dominating who managed to bend down my Dad. Poor Dad."

"I don't think you will face any such difficulties." Sky said as a smile appeared on her face.

Arlo saw her alluring smile which couldn't be because of grandfather. "Why?"

"You will get to know." Sky didn't reveal it.

"He will torture you to know whether you love me or not. He will check your patience, levelheadedness,..." after listing some, at last, she smiled cheekily and added, "... and cooking skills."

"Glutton!" Arlo pinched her nose, "Shouldn't all these should be checked on you too?"

She knew she could pa.s.s all except cooking. "Who is going to check? Grandmother? She will throw you out if you ask her to test me. Do you want to try?"

She was right and he knew that. He moved her on top of him as he spoke, "I will check myself. Now!"

"Arl..." He closed her lips with his without giving her a chance to speak. He teased her for a long time before letting her sleep.

After biting his neck as punishment, Sky wore a turtle neck blouse to cover her neck and collarbone matched with a circular skirt to go office.

She would work as usual and watch the sports channel on television when Jai's match would be there. After every match, she would call and talk with him on the way home.

Three days, he won against three countries and entered finale which was on Thursday. Sky finished her work soon by preponing a meeting. Since it was Jai's ninth World Grand Badminton tournament and he had won Eight consecutive years, all sports lovers would watch the match.

Sky and Loran conference called Jai a half an hour earlier to the game and wished him. Sky was sitting opposite Television on a single armchair when Sam and the other four entered sat when there were five minutes to match.

Arlo came with his laptop and sat on another armchair next to her as he did for previous matches. Clara white arranged them snacks and drinks.

In the set of three matches, the first match started. The opposition was on the lead until he scored ten. Sky wasn't worried. Clark, Maxwell, Jimmy, and Peter were giving commentaries. Sky would only correct them if they say anything wrong about the moves and techniques.

Jai took lead and beautifully finished match. Usually, the losing party would be under pressure and tends to make a mistake but Jai's opposition was playing rather well than the first match.

Both were on the game point and the opposition won the second match which made the third match very crucial for both the countries.

During the break, Sky received a call from the coach. It was the wrong time to get a call and it made her worried. "Coach, What's up? How is Brother Jai?"

Sky sighed hearing his response, 'He is perfectly fine. Any suggestions?'

"Opposite player is in good form. He plays well under pressure. Tell Brother Jai to follow the first method. Decrease the pressure and attack."

Sky noticed Loran calling so she fastly spoke to coach "Coach, Even if you don't tell, Brother Jai will follow it. Don't worry. Anything else?"

"Okay! Take care of Brother Jai."

Sky hung up and called back Loran. After hanging up the call with Loran, Sky concentrated on the match. Jai was defending relaxedly and the opposite player took the lead. Everyone started to panic except Arlo, Sam, and Sky.

Soon Ethan bolted in and asked anxiously, "Hey! What's wrong with your brother?"
